Colne Radio has launched a two week crowd funding campaign to help the station to broadcast on FM. We need a minimum of £3,000 to help achieve this.
You can view our dedicated crowd funding page over here.
Ofcom has awarded Colne Radio a community radio licence to broadcast on FM to the North East Essex area. We now need the funds to help put in place the transmitter, and to bring our studio up to FM standards.
This is hopefully where you come in!
We are asking the community to show a small level of financial support for our project, so that we can then offer something back in return to the area.
Our crowd funding campaign has various rewards available to suit whatever level of commitment you may be able to give.
For just £3 you can have a song dedicated especially to you on air. At the other end of the scale is the once in a lifetime opportunity of broadcasting your own show on a boat from the River Colne for £5,000!
Any funds that we are able to raise above £3,000 will help Colne Radio to have a more secure future. We are trying to build a local station that is not only based within the community, but one that is also part of the community.
We would love to be able to broadcast out and about in our local area at the many wonderful community events that take place. But we need the funds to help make this happen.
All of our team work as volunteers. Any money that is very kindly backed as part of our campaign will be used to help Colne Radio meet its FM aims.
We have set a short period of just two weeks to try and help us become an FM station. The team has been working incredibly hard behind the scenes on putting together this campaign.
