Colne Radio is thrilled to announce that our crowd funding campaign has reached the target of £3,000 after an intensive two week online campaign. This now means that the online station for North East Essex will be able to broadcast on FM.
The crowd funding campaign was launched on 20th June with the aim of asking people to back the volunteer station in its aims to broadcast on FM. In less than two weeks we have managed to raise this total.
The industry regulator Ofcom has shown faith in Colne Radio by granting a community radio licence for North East Essex. We are now in a position to be able to fund this.
The crowd funder officially comes to a close on the morning of Monday 4 July. We now enter the period where the ‘stretch target’ has been met. We will be able to broadcast on FM, but we would still like to work with the community and try and raise a little extra.
The £3,000 will guarantee the station to broadcast on FM. Any further funds that we are able to raise will help the station to have a long term future with a more secure financial footing.
We would like to thank the many people that have put their faith in Colne Radio by very kindly pledging some money as part of our crowd funder. We look forward to working with the community in the future so that we can give an FM station to North East Essex.
If you would like to add to our current total then you can make a pledge over here.
Thank you so much!
