Colne Radio Receives Aviva Funding

Colne Radio would like to thank everyone who voted for us as part of the Aviva Community Fund. We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded £1,000 of as a result of the number of people who voted for our project.

This money will be used to help connect the link between the FM transmitter and our studio. We begin broadcasting on 106.6 FM on 8 April!

Aviva invited local community groups to bid for a share of their community fund last year. The allocation of the funds was decided on the number of online votes cast.

The top 300 organisations with the highest number of votes received the funding. We were thrilled to find that Colne Radio was backed by the local community to receive some of this money.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to support Colne Radio. We are confident that we will be able to return this favour when we begin FM broadcasting in April.

Everyone who works at our station is a volunteer. Our aim is to provide a platform to help to connect and promote local groups in our North East Essex patch.
